Mitsubishi Matters press release dated 27 March 2014:
A FAMILY-RUN Mitsubishi dealership in Oxfordshire has taken the coveted Dealer of the Year trophy at the car manufacturer’s annual awards.
Firs Garage, located in the picturesque village of Hook Norton, beat more than 100 fellow Mitsubishi retailers from all over the UK to take the top prize at a black-tie ceremony organised by the company at Gleneagles in Perthshire, Scotland, on March 19.
The ceremony took place at the annual dealer conference of Mitsubishi Motors in the UK.
Founded in 1960, Firs Garage is a privately-owned concern that has gone from strength to strength and is rated a five-star dealer, which means 95-100 per cent of customers would recommend it.
At its attractive north Oxfordshire location, the dealership offers a purpose-built sales, servicing and accident repair centre as well as an extensive display of new and second-hand vehicles.
One advantage of the company’s rural location is that customers are able to experience enjoyable test drives without traffic congestion. And it is thought to be the only dealership in the country with its very own landing pad and airstrip.
And naturally, the team were delighted with their success. Dealer Principal Dean Wood said: ‘We were absolutely thrilled to receive the award.
‘We were the winning dealership in 2010 and were runner-up in 2011 so to be recognised three years out of four is very satisfying.
‘We very much see the award as recognition for the whole team here at Firs Garage. We work hard to provide great customer service and with the first-class cars on offer from Mitsubishi, we have been pleased to enjoy some successful times recently.’
Lance Bradley, Managing Director of Mitsubishi Motors in the UK, said: ‘Firs Garage has been one of our star performers in recent years and thoroughly deserves its recognition as the best performing dealership in our network. Congratulations to all concerned.’
